1st Holbrook (Suffolk) Scout Group

With effect from 1st September, the group will be changing names. We will now be known as 1st Holbrook ( Suffolk). Our regular meeting places of Holbrook Primary School (Beavers) and Freston Village Hall (Scouts) will remain for the time being.

The name change reflects the merger of Holbrook and Stutton Scout Groups over 50 years ago and the fact that our young people come from many of the villages surrounding Holbrook such as Stutton, Tattingstone, Chelmondiston and Wherstead.

We have a Beaver colony (6 – 8 year-olds), a Cub pack (8 – 10½ year-olds) and a Scout troop (10½ – 14 year-olds); across all sections the emphasis is very much on activity, having fun, and learning by doing.

If you’d like to find out a bit more about our group, please browse through the pages of our website; you can get an idea of the kind of things we get up to by looking at our programmes and our gallery.

If you have a son or daughter who would like to join one of the groups, or you, as an adult, would be interested in becoming a leader, or you just have a question you’d like to ask, do contact us via the details on the Find & Contact us page.
