1st Holbrook (Suffolk) Scout Group

Across the country there are far more children who would like to join Scouting than there are places available – and 1st Holbrook (Suffolk) is no different.

If we had more leaders, then more children could take advantage of all scouting has to offer!

Unfortunately, there is a national shortage of adults willing to volunteer and become leaders.

There are many different ways you could volunteer with 1st Holbrook (Suffolk).

If you are interested in becoming a leader, there is a comprehensive training scheme to help you learn the ropes and you will be fully supported in your role by the Group Scout Leader and other leaders in the group.

Leaders don’t have to commit to turning up every week; the more leaders we have, the more flexible we can be.

We are a friendly lot and make sure we enjoy ourselves – we can’t let the children have all the fun!

Is there a particular sport or activity that you’d like to teach scouts?  You could join our group as an instructor of climbing, kayaking, air rifle shooting etc.

As long as you satisfy the permit requirements of the Scout Association, you would be able to pass on your skills to young people, while only  making a fairly limited time commitment yourself.

Or maybe fundraising or admin are more your thing?  Then we’d definitely like to hear from you.

The more money we can raise, the more exciting the activities we can put on for our young people.

However you’d like to help us, please get in touch via the details on the Find & Contact us page.
